The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.

 

This is an exciting time to join MOPAC to drive the delivery of a new Police and Crime Plan for London. We are a dedicated, professional, highly skilled workforce and are committed to equality and diversity.

 

MOPAC are seeking to recruit two Corporate Development Officers to join a pro-active team who has a commitment to high standards and has outstanding relationship management skills for a range of projects. The posts, one permanent and one fixed-term until 1st April 2019, are vital in analysing future policy impacts, working across the organisation on direction and supporting on strategies. The posts supports the delivery of the most challenging policy areas by scrutinising delivery plans and policy proposals to ensure they are robust.

You will require a solid background in analysing national and organisational policy with practical recommendations, a good understanding of the political context in which we work and experience of working with risk frameworks and procedures. A background in improving delivery across a range of diverse areas is essential with relevant experience in strategy, policy development and performance frameworks.

Political Restriction; under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011) all members of staff of the MOPAC will be politically restricted without the right to apply for an exemption.

 

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo the necessary security vetting which may take up to 8 weeks to be completed. Applicants will also need to have resided in the UK continuously for at least the last three years.
