The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.

 

This is an exciting time to join MOPAC, to drive the delivery of a new Police and Crime Plan for London. We are a dedicated, professional, highly skilled workforce and are committed to equality and diversity.

 

MOPAC are looking to appoint 3 Programme Officers in the Criminal Justice and Commissioning Directorate to support the development of commissioning new projects and policy areas that support the Police and Crime Plan. The post holders would support the Programme Manager and Senior Management and ensure that all aspects of the development and implementation of projects were delivered on time and within budget.

 

A proven track record in project management is essential as is the ability to manage relationships between different stakeholders and partners. We are looking for enthusiastic team players who understand the issues in the field of criminal justice and the role of City Hall.

 

Political Restriction; Under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011) all members of staff of the MOPAC will be politically restricted without the right to apply for an exemption.

 

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo the necessary security vetting which may take up to 8 weeks to be completed. Applicants will also need to have resided in the UK continuously for at least the last three years.
