Business Support Officer


The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London.  It is headed by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. Helen Bailey is the Chief Operating Officer and leads the staff team at MOPAC to deliver the Police and Crime Plan.

We are seeking to recruit a Business Support Officer for maternity cover to provide efficient support to the Director of Audit, Risk and Assurance. Your main duties are to effectively manage the Directorate’s business support function and support the delivery of the Directorate of Audit, Risk and Assurance (DARA) strategic plan across the DARA client base.

You will support the Director and DARA senior management team in the management of the Directorate’s performance, resources and budget, providing regular accurate updates and analysis.

You will act as first point of contact with the Metropolitan Police Service and DARA client leads to establish up to date performance data on the status of audit reports and implementation of audit recommendations.

A business administration or basic accounting qualification or experience is beneficial and a good awareness and understanding of budgetary control process. You will need to have a confident and proactive approach and excellent organisational skills with experience in prioritising work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
